Damer House & Formal Gardens

About Damer House & Formal Gardens

Damer House, a large Georgian House situated in the grounds of Roscrea Castle is a three storey over basement house which features one of only two Queen Anne style staircases in Ireland.  The grounds also include an impressive garden with a fountain, which makes Roscrea Castle a very pleasant destination for a day out.

In 2012 Damer House Gallery was established by artists Patricia Hurl and Therry Rudin. It is an artist-led centre for contemporary art, houses many exhibitions by artists from around the world and receives national and international recognition. The gallery also participates in Culture Night, Bealtaine Festival & Heritage Week.
