Founded in 1950, Roscrea RFC has been at the heart of sport and community life in the town for over seventy five years. From its earliest days, the club has been a proud home for rugby in the Midlands, producing generations of players who have represented Roscrea, Ireland, and also the British & Irish Lions with passion, commitment, and pride.
Today, the club offers rugby for everyone – from boys and girls starting out in minis (U5s–U12s), through youth and senior teams for both men and women, and inclusive programmes such as Jedi Rugby. Whether you’re taking to the field for the first time, looking to return to the game, or simply want to enjoy the social side of sport, there’s a place for you at Roscrea RFC.
The club’s home in Streamstown has become more than just playing pitches – it’s a gathering place for families, friends, and supporters. Recent developments, including a new walking track and facility upgrades, highlight the club’s ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming space for all. Annual events like the Summer Tag Rugby League and community fundraisers bring people together and showcase the true spirit of Roscrea Rugby: teamwork, inclusivity, and fun.
Roscrea RFC is built on volunteerism, community support, and a love of rugby. Every player, coach, sponsor, and supporter plays a part in sustaining the tradition and ensuring the club continues to thrive for future generations.
